Laura - it's healthy, because even the most committed environmentalist needs to slip into transgressive play. Top Gear is highly playful - the kind of fun you used to get when you were a kid and did something you knew was naughty ... but fun!
Top Gear promotes dangerous driving and a dangerously belligerent attitude towards environmental issues, as well as being misogynistic and homophobic. It's GREAT, isn't it? The 'return of Richard Hammond' episode was great TV.
Oh and I think you'll find porn is porn for environmentalists... :)
