That is quite wince-inducing...
But how was 'One' ever an anti-poverty song?
well... i didn't ever used to think so but I'm sure that u2 played it that way on the vertigo tour (with the texts and imagery). you were there weren't you? I also think some of the lyrics lend themselves to that interpretation:
