swapsies

Tekin and I are undertaking a little experiment this week - reading the newspaper that the other one normally takes, thus he The Guardian and me The Independent. I think we both think we'll have ended the week converting the other to our normal reading matter...

OK thoughts so far...

Not sure about:
The feeling that there are quite a lot of adverts (esp full page ones – 9 in 46 pages of news/ business)
The font/ layout
The crossword - was too easy to be satisfying
The front page big banner for their online shopping guide, and a £20k competition
The photo of Penelope Cruz in a gold lame dress on page 3 (no really!)

Quite liked:
You Ask The Questions section – today, Richard Dawkins
The cute photo montage of animals in the “earth – we’re doomed” centre-fold ;-)
The feature about why people buy newspapers and magazines solely for the crossword
The TV grid layout

Tekin's comments so far:
Good = Charlie Booker
Bad = badly formed, overly long sentences with too many commas and not enough full stops!!
